Instructions
0.5-0.75 Inch Cut
Part 1 - Preparation (30 - mins before)
If Cooking by 12:00, get ready at 11:00
- Thaw and let the meat warm up (30-60 mins)
- Prep materials
Part 2 - Seasoning
2. Dry it (pat with paper towel)
3. Oil the steak (not the grill, prevents sticking)
4. Mix the seasoning ingredients together
- Kosher salt (1/4 teaspoon)
- Black Pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Canola Oil (enough to coat)
- Liquid Smoke (like 8 total drops)
- Rub the seasoning on steak
- Let sit for 30 minutes
Part 3 - Cooking
- Preheat grill (leave plugged in for 5 mins, or until the light turns green)
- Place steak on and close (don't walk away)
- Cook for:
- Medium-Rare (Pink center): Check after 2 minutes 30 seconds (check)
- Medium (Light pink): Check after 3 minutes (might take 4 depending on thickness)
- Check Thermometer
- 125°F (54°C) - 135°F (60°C): Pull it off now for Medium.
Part 4 - Finishing
- Immediately after taking it off the grill, put it on a plate
- Place slab of (salted?) butter on top
- Place aluminum foil loosely over the plate, wait 5(to 10) minutes
